Here is a list of some class projects I am particularly fond of.
This report details the HEAT MIDI Keyboard, designed with Jacob Mealey for our ECE Capstone.
The Keyboard is a 12 key MIDI keyboard using Hall Effect sensors for keypress detection. The project demonstrates
strong PCB, electrical circuit, and C programming design.
This is a simple audio frequency active filter built with Sallen Key filters. Being able
to hear the audio being actively filtered was a very cool moment, as most designs up to
this point were only verified through voltage measurements. Although this is a basic
circuit, the accompanying report is well done and demonstrates strong technical writing.
This is a 12V to 25V DC-DC Converter and was the first Technical Report I produced. It is the
culmination of three Lab assignments, that were combined together for one final end product.
I enjoyed this project because it's a great example of the modularity of circuit design. I was able
able to see smaller circuits add up to a larger circuit with greater functionality.
This is an amplifier circuit that uses discrete transistors. It demonstrates my ability in
building circuits that aren't entirely passive components. Although a simple project, it
shows a strong base knowledge in intermediate circuit design with active components.
